A water well is a deep hole that is dug down into an under ground aquifer. Our drilling rig will dig the hole and then place a metal sleeve down into it. This sleeve is called casing. The casing is welded together in lengths and is then placed in the ground. The sleeve is a barrier that will keep the hole from collapsing over time.
Speed and accuracy are very important. A typical well hole is about 200 feet in depth. The metal casing usually runs down about 60 feet to 100 feet depending on the geology of the area. Over the years, Brett Uhlenkott has dug many wells in the Moscow Idaho area.
